Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Sarina is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) through CRPO and one of our therapists under supervision at CMAP Health. She is interested in helping clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD. She hopes to further develop her knowledge through various training programs and workshops to flourish as a psychotherapist.
Sarina has a Bachelor of Arts in Honour Criminology and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Psychology. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Sarina volunteers in her spare time at the Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa Carleton and the Distress Centre of Ottawa and Region.
When asked why she wanted to work at CMAP Health and what clients could expect from her, this was Sarina's response:
"I was drawn to the evidence-based treatments employed at CMAP for various mental health concerns. Even before commencing with CMAP, I was interested in CBT and its collaborative, non-judgmental, and goal-oriented but empirically supported approach to helping others. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with CMAP Health for its high-quality training and multidisciplinary and supportive team. I aim to work collaboratively with clients and create a safe, non-judgmental space. I strive to work in an empathetic open manner, with curiosity and an appreciation for everyone's unique experiences and identities."
Currently, Sarina is completing her Level 2 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Training Program with our schooling partner, Unified CBT Academy, enhancing her skill sets. She is registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
