Therapist under Supervision
Sarah Stilling is one of our Therapists Under Supervision at CMAP Health. She is interested in helping clients with eating disorders and anxiety. Sarah has centred her life and career on her passion for personal growth and aims to help her clients find their strength and resilience through a flexible and collaborative approach to therapy.
She completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Human Kinetics in 2016 and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2019 at the University of Ottawa and is currently completing her Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. When asked why she wanted to work with us at CMAP health and what her clients could expect from her, this was Sarah’s response:
“CMAP was the right choice for me as it not only has a multidisciplinary team to learn from, but it also aligned with my value of continuing to learn with their intensive and professional quality training. I am eager to continue to develop my skills in evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Through my continued supervision and experience, I will be able to adhere to my client’s tailored treatment plans to help them achieve their therapeutic goals and strengthen their coping skills.
I value the opportunity to continue to learn and grow not only in my field of practice but also from my clients. I value the perspectives and knowledge that arise when working collaboratively and I aim to empower my clients to develop their own toolbox of strategies and skills for them to be their best selves. My goal when working with clients is to develop a significant relationship that is built upon and fostered by trust, respect, and empathy. I pride myself on my curiosity when approaching clients and my ability to create a safe and welcoming space.”
Currently, she’s completing her Level 2 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Training Program with our schooling partner Unified CBT Academy enhancing her skill sets. She is registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
