Counselor under Supervision
Natasha is a counselor under the supervision from the CMAP Health Team. She has a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and is a child and youth counselor, as well as a registered early childhood educator. She has experience supporting children, youth and families in settings within the Ontario school board, CHEO, military families and Indigenous communities. Natasha is gaining skills and knowledge to earn Certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and to prepare for registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She is an active member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counselors. Natasha currently supports children and youth who experience inter-generational trauma, anxiety, depression and PTSD, as well as to recognize and establish healthy relationships. At CMAP Health, she will further develop expertise in evidence-based treatment for adults with Mental Health needs. Natasha values establishing trust and honouring client perspectives to build on strengths within the client. A goal in Natasha’s role is for the client to develop self-actualization, develop resources to achieve their goals, and to recognize their self-worth and inner strengths.
