Marloes is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) as well as one of our therapists under supervision at CMAP Health. She has always been passionate about how people feel, think, and behave, having completed a joint Bachelor of Honours in Psychology and Philosophy at Carleton University with a specialization in Neuroscience and Mental Health. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University while pursuing Level 2 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training and workshops with CMAP’s schooling partner, Unified CBT Academy. She looks forward to helping clients work through depression, insomnia, and grief, and has a specific interest in trauma and other anxiety-related conditions. She seeks to further develop her understanding of these topics through ongoing education, workshops, and supervision to ensure that she is in the best position to support her clientele. When asked why she wanted to work at CMAP health and what her clients could expect from her, this was Marloes’ response: “I have a huge respect for the compassion, skill and calibre of CMAP's incredible multidisciplinary team. The breadth of their expertise and the atmosphere that they cultivate provides an ideal environment for bringing out the best in both their clients and their therapists. When it comes to my clients, I believe that every individual has the desire and potential to thrive but that life circumstances can often impact on our ability to do so effectively. In combining their strengths, goals, and life experience with my warmth, dedication and understanding of evidence-based treatment approaches, I look forward to supporting my clients in getting back to or discovering new possibilities for where they would like to be."
