Kayla Doyle, RP(Q)Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Kayla is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She has her Master’s of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in addictions and mental health counselling. Kayla has been completing extensive trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work towards becoming certified by the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. She has also completed trainings in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral management systems for youth and adults. Kayla works primarily within a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy framework. She strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space in which each client’s strengths are combined with evidence based interventions to collaboratively guide the through the process of change. She has experience working with several mental health concerns in both adults and children. These would include anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as childhood concurrent disorders. When working with Kayla, she emphasizes the importance of establishing trust and rapport with her clients. She strongly believes that each client has the capability within themselves to effectuate change, helping them to develop the skills to achieve their therapeutic goals. All clients are unique and thus merit an approach that will be tailored to their needs.
