Every second of our physical existence is dependent on our pulses. Our body lives with these constant up and down signals from our hearts. Our mind, which is intertwined with our body, is no exception. Kasra is a Therapist under Supervision from the CMAP Health team. He is finalizing his Master’s degree in Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa. At CMAP Health, Kasra will gain skills and knowledge to earn Certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in preparation for registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CACBT). Throughout his life, Kasra has had many opportunities to being exposed to diverse groups of people around the world. During those times, he built great mutual and meaningful relationships and understanding with many. He has also counselled immigrants and families and mentored young engineers in the community, at work and at the Ottawa Community Immigrant Service Organization. Kasra believes the foundation of a therapeutic process is a mutually healthy and trusting relationship. He trusts that this joint commitment, combined with evidence-based therapy, can develop a new viewpoint to the daily challenges, improving coping skills and leading to a better quality of life for people. Kasra can offer services in English and Farsi.
